Thermal Control for Metal Buildings
Steel-structure workshops, warehouses, agricultural buildings and prefabricated facilities can experience rapid heat gain through metal roofs and walls. The same assemblies may also face condensation, noise and installation constraints. Qiyao New Material provides reflective insulation solutions using foil bubble insulation, foil-faced XPE foam, multilayer reflective materials, reinforced foil facings and related composites. The appropriate product depends on the building type, climate, roof and wall assembly, required air space, fire-safety requirements, durability expectations and project budget.
How the System Works
A low-emissivity aluminum-foil surface reduces radiant heat transfer when it faces a suitable air space. Bubble or closed-cell XPE layers add separation, handling convenience and supplementary thermal resistance. Reinforced facings such as woven foil, fiberglass cloth foil or FSK can provide improved tear resistance, dimensional stability or vapor-control functions. Actual thermal performance depends on the complete assembly, including orientation, air spaces, compression, joints and surrounding materials.
Roof and Wall Applications
For metal roofing, reflective insulation may be installed beneath roof sheets, above purlins or as part of a layered assembly defined by the project designer. Wall applications can use reinforced reflective layers behind cladding or within framed assemblies. Seams, penetrations, corners, eaves and roof-to-wall transitions require careful treatment because discontinuities can reduce thermal and moisture-control performance.
Material Selection and Customization
Foil bubble insulation is often selected for cost-sensitive projects that value fast installation and low weight. Foil-faced XPE foam offers a flexible closed-cell core with moisture resistance and auxiliary sound-damping properties. Reinforced woven or fiberglass foil materials are suitable when the facing must tolerate greater handling stress. Qiyao can customize roll width, foil surface, substrate weight, layer construction and packaging according to project requirements.
Installation Support
Qiyao provides technical support covering storage, orientation, cutting, overlaps, seam treatment, fastening and repair of visible damage. A representative trial area is recommended before full installation. A properly selected and installed system can reduce radiant heat gain, improve indoor working conditions and support building energy goals while keeping installation efficient.
